THE QUARTERLY REPORT is a physical publication that is sent in the mail or purchased in your favorite bookstore or magazine shop. ISSUE NO. 4 is 120 pages, full color, and 7.75 x 7.75 inches. Each issue is slightly smaller than the previous in terms of size so that they can eventually stack like a pyramid.
THE QUARTERLY REPORT is a report of the things creative people think about when they are not doing their work. In ISSUE NO. 4, artist David Korty who reports on fly fishing in the western states; photographer Shawn Michienzi with a meditation on street corners in LA; photographer Paloma Dooley, who shares her collection of Craigs List photos from seller; visual artist Leah Rosenberg reports on her never ending love of color; creative director and publisher Lorenzo Diggins Jr. reports on slow mornings in his LA neighborhood home of Leimert Park; musician and visual artist Christina Marie Karr considers the coyotes of LA; and visual artist Tucker Nichols reports on the moments he finds while walking in Northern California. Our Where it Comes From essay is from curator and writer Jordan Stein, who asks us to consider compost.
